THE Met Office is predicting some mixed weather for our area during the half term week.

If you're planning some outdoor fun with the kids, today (Monday, February 12) is probably the best bet.

It looks like we're going to have a mostly sunny one today, with temperatures just about making it into double figures.

You'd best pack your wellies and macs if you're planning on venturing out on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday - that's when we're likely to have a bit of heavy rain.

Wednesday, Friday and Saturday look set to be mostly dry and cloudy.

Enjoy the week. If the kids have homework or revision, probably best to fit that in to coincide with the wetter days.
