POLICE officers have been carrying out patrols around the park in Uphill following reports of a man approaching women in recent weeks.
Speaking on Saturday (May 4), a North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "This afternoon PCSO Eliot from the Bournville & Uphill Neighbourhood Team conducted patrols around the park in Uphill following reports that a man was approaching women in there in recent weeks.
"I'm pleased to say that no issues were seen or mentioned by those using the park and patrols will continue to deter any further problems.
"Can I please take this opportunity to remind residents that any issues involving Anti-Social behaviour or suspicious incidents can be reported to Police via 999 if an emergency or 101 for anything else.
"Also concerns can be reported anonymously via Street Safe at: https://orlo.uk/A7A95.
"StreetSafe is a service that allows you to report safety concerns in public places without giving us your name (anonymously). This includes issues like poorly lit streets, abandoned buildings, or vandalism, as well as instances where you feel unsafe due to someone following or verbally abusing you.
"These reports help us target patrols to those areas of concern to residents."
