RESIDENTS and staff of a retirement village will join a special walk to cover the distance between Clevedon and Wales to raise funds for the pier.
The Go Go Grannies and Grandads group will join the event - organised by The Hawthorns Clevedon/Avery Healthcare – to fundraise for Clevedon Pier.
They will walk to cover the distance from Clevedon to Wales on Clevedon Pier.
The walk will be held on Clevedon Pier on Friday, July 12 from 10am to 4pm.
A spokesperson said: “Let’s appreciate and celebrate our Clevedon Pier, designated a Grade I listed building.
"This fabulous landmark was described by Sir John Betjeman as ‘the most beautiful pier in England’”.
