THE Weston-super-Mare Labour MP has praised the progress made to introduce a public transport system at Bristol Airport.
MP Dan Aldridge said the project will link Weston residents “more efficiently and environmentally to the rest of the world.”.
He said: “Excited to see the progress at Bristol Airport to a more integrated public transport system for us in Weston-super-Mare, linking us more efficiently and environmentally to the rest of the world.
“Around 350 people in Weston work at the airport, a significant local employer with plans to provide more apprenticeships, jobs, and income to our region as it works towards its goal of being Net Zero by 2030.
“The £65 million investment in the public transport interchange will make the experience from Weston-super-Mare smoother and less dependent on cars.
“Obviously, I reverted to childhood when getting to watch the planes arrive on the runway from the Traffic Control Tower. It's so cool.”
