TWO Weston gymnasts will represent Great Britain for the first time in an international competition in Poland later this year.

Archie and Samuel, from Weston’s Splitz Gym Club, will join the FIG Men Pair 12-18 category competition in November.

A spokesperson for the gym said: “Archie and Samuel and their coach Carmen will be flying out to Poland in November to represent Great Britain for the first time after being selected.

“The event is an international competition, held over four years days. They will be competing in the FIG Men Pair 12-18 category.

“The boys recently won the British Championships back in July of this year for the second year in a row, and have now been selected to represent GB.”

Splitz Gym Club has been running in Weston for 38 years and has created Regional, National, British, English and International champions.

They offer many competitive disciplines such as acrobatics, aerobics, tumbling and trampolining.

They also offer non-competitive gymnastics: general gymnastics, pre-school gymnastics, parkour, acrofun, and more.
