A Burnham family all shaved their heads for charity to raise money for the Royal Institute For The Blind (RNIB).
Rama Venkat, who is the town’s Specsavers’ store director, managed to convince his whole family to join him in shaving his head to mark National Eye Health Week.
He shaved his whole head, while his wife Sai shaved off 13 inches of her hair, his daughter Thrinayani seven inches, and his son Thrilokesh shaved the side of his head.
As well as raising more than £1,000, the family have also donated their hair to The Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have cancer or other illnesses.
Rama said: “We’ve been fundraising for RNIB for quite a few months now but to surpass our original target of £500 and to have raised more than £1,000 is just fantastic. I’d like to say a huge thank you for the donations.”
