WHERE is the most spooky area of the UK?
With Hallowe'en fast approaching, a group of mediums have conducted a review of recorded paranormal sightings across the country.
It found South West England racked-up a total of 2,149 hauntings which makes our region the spookiest place in the UK.
PsychicWorld.com collated a list of more than 11,000 paranormal sightings in 59 counties to search for the areas where ghouls and demons prey most often.
The study also claimed Yorkshire has the 'strongest paranormal presence' with 797 sightings recorded - 302 per cent higher than the national average.
Northern Ireland, with 139 sightings, was found to have the least spooky occurrences recorded.
The most common type of spirit recorded across the country were phantom horse and riders, legends of folklore, fairies and headless ghosts.
The biblical Devil came in at eighth place with 233 manifestations on record.
