A MODEL train group is looking for new members to join its club.
The Vintage Hornby Train Group has met monthly in Weston for the past 10 years where not just models are laid out but camaraderie is enjoyed by all.
It is the local branch of the Hornby Railway Collectors' Association (HRCA), an association set up to support people who collect and run Hornby trains made by Meccano Ltd, of Liverpool, between 1920 and 1964.
Chairman Steve Sands, said: "As well as having a common interest in model railways, we are also a good social gathering and provide tea and homemade cakes, both of which some members say are more important than the trains.
"We meet monthly on a Thursday evening where we set up four layouts, two in 00 gauge and two in 0 gauge.
"At our last meeting, we planned our annual show in Highbridge for the end of this month.
"We're happy to welcome anyone with an interest in vintage trains, but also who like to collect and run more modern stock such as ACE Trains in 0 gauge or modern Hornby or Bachmann in 00."
