A COMMUNITY group in Weston is searching for new members.
Worle Lions has sent out a desperate plea to find volunteers to help conduct its charitable work in the area.
The club meets frequently and also organizes many local events such as Christmas shows and fêtes to 'make a difference in Worle'.
On every second Monday of the month, the club meets at The Windsor Castle pub, on Upper Bristol Road, where camaraderie is enjoyed over a drink.
A spokesperson said: "We have a 'knit and natter' meeting to make various items for Weston Hospital and League of Friends.
"This also includes baby bonnets, blankets, trauma teddies and twiddle muffs. We are currently delivering a much-needed consignment of knitted blankets too.
"If you wish to find out more please contact Worle Lions Club by email at worlelions@gmail.com or by telephoning 08458 339662."
