PARENTS will get the chance to speak with staff during a careers information day at Thatchers Cider next month.
The event will help the parents or carers of prospective apprentices to find out what's on offer at the factory and take a look-in at career progression in the industry.
A spokesperson said: "Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for young people when they leave school or college. But it's an important decision for young people to take, and parents, carers and guardians have their role to play too, in choosing which route to follow.
"At Thatchers we know this can be a confusing landscape to navigate so we would like to invite parents to our apprenticeship information event."
The informal evening will be held on December 5 from 6pm to 8pm at The Railway Inn, Sandford.
Also joining the programme is the Thatchers Early Careers team, Weston College and Western Training Providers Network which assist in apprentice support to students and parents.
A separate student careers day will take place on February 4 next year.
