A SCOOTER Rally live music event on Weston's Grand Pier raised over £7,500 for Cancer Research UK.
The two-day event at the end of April was attended by around 2,000 people who enjoyed the lively atmosphere and bars, along with great music from The Specials Ltd and Heavy Sol.
Organisers were thrilled to announce that the event, along with donations from various South West scooter clubs and individuals, raised £7587.68 to support the fight against cancer.
The successful outcome has encouraged them to continue putting on similar events in the future.
Andy Greenslade, one of the organisers, said: "We are thrilled with the success of the Scooter Rally event on The Grand Pier.
"We were able to raise a significant amount of money for Cancer Research UK, which is an incredibly worthy cause.
"We raised this as a tribute in the name of Bill McCloughlin a popular member of the Scooterist world who was fighting cancer and sadly passed away recently.
"We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and made it such a success.
"We look forward to putting on similar events in the future."
