AN exhibition designed to raise awareness around dementia is due to take place this weekend (Saturday, May 27).
Residents can see The Art of Dementia exhibition at the Weston Artspace on 73 High Street between 10am and 4pm.
Jo Green has worked in collaboration with Alliance Homes customers to curate miniature artworks which will come together in one installation.
Jo said: "Each piece of work has been painted with lots of love, happiness and positivity with no pressure to create a masterpiece but to simply enjoy the process of creativity.
"The exhibition is about how it affects everybody including our loved ones and their family and friends; the carers and volunteers too.
"It will also provide an opportunity to talk about the power of art and how it allows the mind and body to relax and be present in the moment whilst preventing isolation and gaining a sense of achievement."
After the exhibition, those that took part will be able to take their artwork home.
