THE mayor of Weston has paid a visit to the town's Sea Shanty and Folk Music Festival.
The event started on August 4 and finished yesterday (August 6).
This festival took place at the Italian Gardens in the town.
Posting on Facebook during the event, mayor Ciaran Cronnelly said: "The Sea Shanty and Folk Festival has started! I popped along to say a couple of words.
"Thanks to The Steepholmers and all sponsors for organising the event. It takes a massive effort to get these types of events off the ground so credit to everyone involved.
"The event is also raising money for RNLI Weston-super-Mare and The Lions Club of Weston-super-Mare
"There will be 40 bands over 13 venues across the weekend. Residents loved the precious events and this will be no different."
