A GRANDAD who grew up in Weston has written his first book.
Cliff Gathercole, a grandad to six children, first started writing Hide and Seek Grandad At the Beach during Covid.
The book, which will be released on August 18, centres around Jack and Amelia Barker, a brother and sister who live at home with their parents.
Their grandad always seems to know when they have a day out and finds a place to hide from them and surprise them. The search begins.
The book is available on Amazon and other online bookstores.
Speaking about the book, Cliff said: “I grew up by the seaside and still love it today.
"I always hoped I would write a book someday and when Covid came along it seemed like the perfect opportunity.”
Cliff lived in Milton until he was 13 before his family relocated to Kent in 1978. Cliff now lives in Leicestershire with his wife Helen, who also happens to be an author.
