The Great Uphill Scarecrow Festival, organised by the Uphill Village Society, will be returning for its 16th annual event later this month.
The festival continues to be a highlight of the village calendar with this year’s theme being fact and fictional characters from British History as a celebration of the new King and Queen's coronation on the weekend of September 16/17.
Village society chair, Stewart Castle said,“Uphill is set to prove once again that it has not lost its community spirit and put on a great display of scarecrows and I am sure all is set for another wonderful weekend of fun and spectacle in the village."
The Methodist Church will be open for refreshments on the Saturday and Sunday from 11am and St. Nicholas new church for tea and cake on Sunday afternoon. Between 2pm and 5pm.
