VOLUNTEERS from Burnham-on-Sea, Brean, and surrounding areas will return to Berrow Beach this weekend for a community litter pick.

Organised by the Friends of Berrow Beach, locals are welcomed to join in with their efforts to keep the beach clean.

The litter pick is normally a monthly occurence, but there was a one month interval in August as many of the members were away on holiday.

This Saturday September 9, the Friends of Berrow Beach will be back to support and help volunteers in removing litter from the coastal area.

After a busy summer of hot weather, there will be plenty of litter which needs disposing of in order to keep the area safe and attractive for wildlife and families alike.

Those hoping to pitch in should meet in the hall of St Mary's Church, Berrow, at 9:45am this Saturday.

Children aged 5 and above are welcome, as well as dogs of all ages.

All equipment will be provided, and free light refreshments will be available once the clean is complete.
