Nuffield Health have appointed Rob Thomas as their health systems director.
Rob will lead three hospitals and oversee 11 Fitness and Wellbeing Centres, including Weston-super-Mare and Taunton.
Rob joined the healthcare charity in 2019, having previously been in leadership roles for the NHS across Wales and England and has worked in the Middle-East.

"In my new role, I’m focused on advancing our healthcare, fitness and wellbeing services for more people in local communities across the South-West region and in Wales.

“I will continue to work with my talented colleagues at Cheltenham, Cardiff and Vale hospitals and I’m looking forward to working with the hospital team at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital, which specialises particularly in orthopaedic surgery and joint care.
“Our Bristol Hospital supports people within the local community who have health insurance, those who pay for their care themselves and NHS patients from North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.”
Rob said he is focussing on implementing improved collaboration between the Bristol, Cheltenham, Cardiff and Vale hospitals as well as the rest of the fitness and wellbeing centres at Bridgend, Cwmbran, Bristol, Bristol North, Plymouth, Plymouth Devonshire, Gloucester, Swindon and Yeovil.
