A GERMAN Shepherd who was abandoned with a significant injury on Easter Sunday has finally been adopted after spending 209 days in RSPCA care.
The five-year-old dog was seen on CCTV being tied to the gates outside the Brent Knoll centre on April 9, 2023.
The dog, which staff named Bunny, had an open fracture and dislocation, which resulted in her having one of her legs amputated.
Nevertheless, Bunny has now hopped off with her new family.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the RSPCA North Somerset branch said: "It was so wonderful to finally see Bunny hop off to her new home, after spending 209 days in our care.
"Bunny has needed a home with a family that are able to cater to her specific needs, which will change as time goes on.
"During her stay with us Bunny put in an appearance at our annual open day in September 'Sunday Funday' and it was so sweet seeing how happy she was to see everyone!"
