Burnham-on-Sea Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeboat volunteers will be celebrating the 20th birthday of their lifeboat station this Saturday (December 23).
To mark the celebration the volunteers are inviting members of the public to a Brew with the Crew on Pier Street between the hours of 10.30am and 12pm.
Visitors, who come to the station, will able to see how their local Volunteer Lifeboat crew Save Lives at Sea and there may be an opportunity for children to meet Stormy Stan, the RNLI mascot.
Burnham-on-Sea Lifeboat Operations manager Matt Davis said; "This is a terrific opportunity to look at what we do and how we do it, especially if you have thought about joining us as a lifeboat volunteer!"
The RNLI, which was founded in 1824, have saved over 137,000 lives and is a charity registered in England, Scotland Republic of Ireland.
Volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts and has 238 lifeboat stations.
