A MAN has been arrested and charged with five offences after being seen entering an unlocked vehicle in Weston Village.
The incident took place on Friday (December 15).
The local man was charged with five offences, including three breaches of a Community Protection Notice.
Police officers have reminded people to ensure that their vehicles are kept locked and secure.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "On Friday a male from Weston-super-Mare was seen by members of the public to enter an unlocked vehicle in Weston Village.
"Officers attended and located the male who was promptly arrested and has now been charged with five offences including:
"Three breaches of a Community Protection Notice;
"One charge of vehicle interference;
"One charge of going equipped.
"We take this opportunity to remind residents to make sure their vehicles are secure."
