MULTIPLE roads in North Somerset have been closed due to flooding.
Across the region, strong winds and heavy rain from Storm Henk has caused disruption to travel and infrastructure.
Roads in Backwell, Portbury, and Wrington have been shut for the safety of motorists.
Drivers are urged to leave extra stopping distance between them and the vehicle in front in wet weather.
Posting on social media at 11.36am, a spokesperson from North Somerset Travel and Roads team said: "Due to the wet weather, please be aware the following roads are closed due to flooding:
-Chapel Hill, Backwell;
-High street, Portbury;
-Portbury Lane, Portbury;
-Mill Lane, Portbury;
-Iwood Lane, Wrington.
"Further to this, the Met Office have issued a yellow warning for rain from Thursday Lunch to Friday morning.
"We have erected flood warning signs around the district, therefore, please take care if you are driving in the local area."
