AROUND 35 dogs and 60-70 people attended Weston's first Bully Meet-Up & Beach Walk of 2024.
The event, organised by Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue UK, took place on Saturday, January 13, on Weston Beach.
People and their dogs from all over North Somerset and even Devon and Gloucester attended.
This included two deaf dogs and a wide variety of pooches.
In total, £181.25 was raised for Geordie Bullies Springboard charity.
The charity's website highlights its work: "We are a breed-specific English Bulldog rescue from the UK, whose aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome. And to use our platform to raise awareness about the breed we so dearly love and their struggle.
"Our aim is to educate people about English Bulldogs, their personalities, behaviours and needs.
"We are a foster home-based charity, utilising our many foster/volunteers across the country. English Bulldogs are one of the ultimate companion breeds and need human interaction and love for their health and wellbeing.
"We are a non-profit organization and rely solely on donations from the public to rescue and rehabilitate the bulldogs in our care."
The Weston walks take place on the second Saturday of the month.
