A guitar orchestra is set to hold a 24-hour event in Somerset.
Wyvern Afinado Guitar Orchestra (WAGO) is showcasing a sight-reading marathon, in the first-ever ‘WAGOthon’.
WAGO is composed of three guitar ensembles—the WAGOners, the WAGOnettes, and the WAGOntrain and they will play non-stop from midday to midday the following day.
Each ensemble of five to eight guitarists will perform for 20 minutes every hour.

To spice up the fundraiser, the three ensembles are even competing against each other to raise the highest amount of funds.
Guitarists are coming from all parts of UK to partake.
Guitarists Craig Ogden and Francisco Correa will give their support, joining for the final two hours of the event.
Observing the WAGOthon doesn't necessarily require physical presence at the Hewish and Puxton Village Hall in Somerset.
The event will also be live-streamed on their website for those unable to attend.

This ambitious, round-the-clock guitar event aims to secure much needed funds for The Alzheimer’s Society.
The event will commence at midday on January 27, 2024, and run through till midday of January 28.
