A ROAD closure has been put into place at Cheddar Gorge to allow for rock safety work.
The road closure between the Coach Park and Black Rock Gate will be in place from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday-Friday until February 9.
It will reopen on the evenings and weekends.
A spokesperson from the Cheddar Gorge and Caves team said: "To minimise disruption, the road will only be closed between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, when the rock safety crew is actively working, re-opening in the evenings and at the weekends.
"When the road is closed, it will not be safe to allow pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles to pass along the road or pavement.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and would like to remind visitors that our attractions will be open Wednesday to Sunday and other businesses in the gorge will be operating as normal during this time."
