A SLIP road on the M5 at Weston was closed for a period overnight due to emergency repair work being carried out on a partially demolished section of the barrier.
National Highways South West announced the closure of the southbound slip road at junction 21 of the motorway shortly after midnight this morning (Friday, February 2).
It posted on social media: "The M5 J21 WestonsuperMare southbound exit slip is CLOSED for emergency barrier repairs.
"Thank you for your patience."
Earlier this morning National Highways gave the all clear, informing motorists the slip road had reopened following the emergency work.
