AN emergency road closure has been put into place following a "landslide" on Hutton Hill.
The FirstBus website reads: "Oldmixon Road and Hutton Hill in the village of Hutton is currently closed to service 126 until further notice due to a landslide.
"This closure is likely to be for about a week and when details have been confirmed the web page will be updated.
"Service 126 heading towards Wells after serving the Winterstoke Road bus stop will be diverted via Winterstoke Road through Haywood village and the Locking Moor Road (A371) to resume normal route at the junction of Banwell Road.
"Service 126 heading towards Weston will operate the reverse of the above.
"Regretfully all bus stops between and including Woodside Avenue bus stop on Broadway and Banwell Road bus stop will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at the Winterstoke Road bus stop on Winterstoke Road by the junction of Broadway or the Elborough Turn bus stop on Locking Moor Road (A371)."
A resident added: "Traffic is diverted via Moor Land and Vereland Road. The 126 bus is going via the Runway."
