A DRIVER from Weston has admitted towing a trailer whose use "involved a danger of injury to any person".
Richard Edward George Beer, 49, of Derwent Road, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court.
The court was told he committed the offence on the M5 northbound between Junction 23 (Bridgwater) and 22 (Burnham-on-Sea) on March 19 last year.
Magistrates were told that the manner in which the load of large boxes and furniture on the trailer being drawn by a Volvo V60 was secured "involved a danger of injury" to people.
Beer, who had previously denied the offence, changed his plea to guilty.
He was fined £300 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and Crown Prosecution Service of £100.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
