Guests at a popular North Somerset hotel will be able to enjoy their food even more thanks to the introduction of a top pianist.
From March 17, visitors to the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Cadbury House in Congresbury will be serenaded by Bristol musician, Matthew O’Connor.
Playing between 12.30pm and 3pm every Sunday, he will treat guests to a repertoire of well-known classics and his own unique compositions.
The addition of live music is expected to enhance the venue's already relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
Marketing manager at Cadbury House, Matilda Burgess, said: "Sunday lunch at the Steakhouse is incredibly popular and we’re delighted that we can now include Matthew to people’s enjoyment.
"The sound of a live pianist will certainly add to the overall experience and atmosphere of dining in the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse.
"It’s not intrusive and we can’t wait for Matthew to start."
Mr O’Connor boasts an impressive performance history, playing for VIPs including Emma B of the Spice Girls, the Greek prime minister, and the Red Arrows aerial display team.
In addition, he composes music that has been used on programmes such as the BBC's The One Show.
He said: "It’s great to be able to play for guests of the hotel and restaurant.
"Live music forms such an important part of many people’s lives but many don’t get the opportunity to get out and enjoy a show or concert.
"To enjoy a drink and meal to the accompaniment of live music, will hopefully make the day much more relaxing and may inspire some to either learn or get out to see more live music."
