COASTGUARD teams were called out yesterday (Thursday, March 21) over concerns of a potential ordnance.
Ordnance is another word for military supplies, like guns, rockets, or explosives.
A spokesperson from the Clevedon Coastguard Team said: "The team from Clevedon Coastguard Rescue Team had their pagers activated yesterday to assist our flank team in Weston-super-Mare over concerns for potential ordnance that was found along our coastline.
"Upon arrival of the teams, there was obvious concern that the ordnance was still live and dangerous.
"Procedures were put in place by actioning a cordon to a safe parameter and the British Army EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team were called to investigate.
"The ordnance found, was thankfully confirmed as safe and not live. These were in fact training ordnance that would have been dropped by aircraft.
"The teams were eventually stood down and returned to station.
"A call with good intent!
"If you are ever in doubt along the coastline, never be afraid to call 999 and make that call that could save a life!"
