The Friends Of The Playhouse has confirmed its events calendar for April.

A series of events will run throughout the month, starting with a Saturday Coffee Morning on April 13 in the High Street Theatre from 10am to 11.30am.

There will be hot drinks, biscuits, and a monthly raffle with the first prize being two tickets for any show at the Playhouse.

The following Saturday, April 20, the coffee morning will feature a music quiz costing £1 to enter.

The quiz is not mandatory, so attendees can simply enjoy the event.

On April 27, the quarterly draw for the Millenium Club will take place during the Saturday Coffee Morning.

The first prize is £50 and numbers are still available for purchase.

For those intrigued by the events, it is worth considering joining The Friends Of The Playhouse.

The organisation has a current membership of over 500, but welcomes newcomers.

An annual fee of £15 allows members to reap numerous benefits including a 15 per cent discount on selected shows and at the theatre's bars.

Additionally, members receive regular newsletters, invitations to social outings, and a free ticket on their birthday.

If a member wants to take advantage of the birthday offer, they need to register their date of birth at the time of sign up.

Membership can be obtained at the theatre box office in-person or over the phone.
