POLICE officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was punched in the face in Weston.
The assault took place shortly after 6.30pm on Saturday, March 23.
The victim, a woman in her late 30s or early 40s, was hit while sitting on the ground outside Tesco on Station Road.
She sustained minor injuries which didn't need hospital treatment.
At the time, two people intervened, who police wish to speak to.
The offender was a white man in his 40s, around 6ft 1ins tall with a skinny build and a grey beard.
At the time he was wearing black jeans, a grey hoodie, a black coat, grey shoes and a black baseball cap.
