A WILDLIFE charity based in Highbridge has rescued a badger after it fell into an empty swimming pool in Wrington.
Secret World Wildlife Rescue took the badger into its care before releasing the creature back into the local area.
A spokesperson from the charity said: "But it was bath time!
"We were recently called out to a badger in Wrington that had found its way into an empty swimming pool.
"Once the badger had fallen in there was no way for it to climb back out again.
"Ponds and pools can pose a danger to wildlife, it is important to have a ramp or steps that they are able to climb out on.
"Luckily this pool was empty so there was no risk of the badger drowning.
"After a short stint at Secret World the badger was released in the local area the next evening."
