PERFORMING arts students from Weston-super-Mare have taken to the West End.

A group from Stagecoach Performing Arts took to the stage at His Majesty's Theatre in London last weekend, showcasing their talents for singing and dancing.

The students performed the iconic songs of 90s Disney classic, Hercules.

Songs such as ‘Zero to Hero’, ‘Go The Distance’ and ‘A Star is Born’ were performed by the students in an energetic homage to the film that they will never forget.

Weston's Stagecoach was not the only school represented, as the evening also celebrated students from all across the UK, including Camberley, Sidcup, Chigwell, Watford, Maidstone West, Totton, Potters Bar and Caversham.

The performance served as a platform for the students to hone their skills, creativity and courage on stage.

Patrick McIntyre, principal of the school, said: "It was an amazing experience witnessing our students unite and showcase their talents on the esteemed stage of His Majesty's Theatre.

"After weeks of dedicated rehearsals, they delivered an exceptional performance, one they should all be immensely proud of."
