THE mayor of Weston, Cllr Ciaran Cronnelly, has thanked the winners of the Civic Society's 2023 awards for going the "extra mile" to improve the architecture and design of their properties.
The annual Weston Civic Society's awards evening was held on Monday, April 8 at Weston Museum.
Posting on Facebook, the mayor said: "Thanks to Weston-super-Mare Civic Society for inviting me to give out awards to celebrate and showcase the apex of new architecture and murals in Weston-super-Mare in 2023, and to congratulate the winners.
"It's great to see the winning businesses and individuals investing in improving the architecture and design of their property - it can be more expensive to bring back the original (or close to) features on a property so big appreciation from me that you made the commitment to go the extra mile."
