WESTON locals have been sharing their memories of the town's old General Post Office.
Residents have been posting in the Weston Mercury's We Grew Up In Weston Facebook page, which was set up to allow people to share their recollections and photos of the town's history.
Posting underneath a photograph of Weston's old General Post Office, one commenter said: "Love our old Weston...brings back memories of going in there."
Another added: "Remember this so well, it had a certain smell in there and a queuing system."
A third affirmed: "We should never let these memories die."
One local described the property as a "lovely building" and said that it is sad that it is gone.
Editor of the newspaper, Tim Lethaby, said: "This group is for anyone who wants to share their old pictures and memories of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas.
"By posting in the group you consent to the Weston Mercury using the photos and comments in our respective publications, websites and social media channels.
"We ask that you only post images which you hold the copyright for."
