A sponsored abseil at Sandford Quarry raised over £6,000 for The Samaritans of Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.
The event, held on April 14, saw volunteers aged between 12 to 80 participating.
It is a small branch made up of roughly 65 members, who keep the it running by answering approximately 14,000 contacts a year from those who need help.
Despite its size, the branch delivered this successful fundraiser, attracting a good crowd of supporters.
Some participants, evidently enjoying the challenge, even asked when it will be doing it again.
