The mayor of Weston, Ciarán Cronelly, attended the British Legion Remembrance Service at the Helicopter Museum.
He met charities' fundraising volunteers and toured the museum on April 20.
Mr Cronelly was accompanied by the lady mayoress and museum president, captain Elfan Ap Rees.
The museum, currently seeking donations for a new hangar's final phase, will put funds raised towards doors and a concrete floor.
It plans to move selected Weston-built aircraft into the hangar later this year.
