A YATTON primary school has said that it is "thrilled" to have received an 'Outstanding' score in its first Ofsted inspection.
Chestnut Park Primary School, on Wheatear Road, is the youngest in the Futura Learning Partnership's family of schools.
The school, which opened in 2021, has 76 pupils aged two to seven.
Two inspectors visited Chestnut Park in February and gave it the top rating for its quality of education, leadership and management and early years provision as well as for pupils’ behaviour and attitudes and their personal development.
The report reads: “Pupils excel in every aspect of their education. Nurturing, warm relationships exist between staff and pupils. Pupils love coming to Chestnut Park Primary School."
It was also noted that the school is a purposeful, calm place to learn and that its safeguarding policies are effective.
The inspectors add: “From the moment children join the school, they benefit from a curriculum that is aspirational and highly effective.
“Pupils across the school learn exceptionally well. They acquire an impressive depth of knowledge across all subjects. Pupils achieve exceptionally well in all areas.”
It was also mentioned that the Trust helps "ensure that staff are well looked after", which contributes to the school's success.
The report concludes: “The trust and governors hold leaders to account effectively.
"They have a firm grasp of the school’s strengths and priorities for development. Together, the trust and governors ensure that staff are well looked after and their workload is considered.
“Morale is buoyant across the dedicated staff team. As a result, pupils thrive at this exceptional school."
Executive principal Tamara Dexter said: “We are thrilled with this report, which really captures the way our wonderful children and staff are growing a highly successful and aspirational school at the heart of a new community.
"It was a privilege to open the School and I am honoured to be working in unison with the Futura Learning Partnership to ensure we can deliver an exceptional education for all our pupils.
"We will build on this successful inspection as we welcome in more children and their families over the coming years.”
Futura chief executive Andrea Arlidge added: “Congratulations to Tamara and the whole school community at Chestnut Park.
"This fantastic report is well deserved – as the inspectors say, the children’s exemplary behaviour and their impressive achievements are testament to the exceptional educational and pastoral provision at the school.”
