WESTON locals have been sharing some nostalgic photos and postcards in the We Grew Up In Weston-super-Mare Facebook page.
The page was launched to give residents a platform to share their memories and experiences of the town.
Posting underneath the photo of the water ball, one commenter said: "Should do it again in this modern era."
Another added: "That looks so much fun."
Residents seem to have fond memories of this waterslide. One local said: "I was so high for 7 years old, but fun."
Another contributed: "Bring back the waterslides."
Editor of the newspaper, Tim Lethaby, posted on the group: "This group is for anyone who wants to share their old pictures and memories of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas.
"By posting in the group you consent to the Weston Mercury using the photos and comments in our respective publications, websites and social media channels.
"We ask that you only post images which you hold the copyright for."
