IN 2018, a young musician from Worle performed at one of the most prestigious venues in the world.
Hannah Coulton, who was aged 13 at the time, won the chance to perform at the Royal Albert Hall after claiming the Highbridge Festival of Music’s star prize competition with a distinction.
Hannah, who started learning when she was six, performed at the Albert Hall alongside pianists from all over the world, playing on Elton John’s piano.
Speaking at the time, she said: “This is the biggest thing I have ever done with the piano and I think anyone who loves playing piano should have the experience.”
Hannah attended Priory Community School, and when she was in year seven she became the youngest student to open its music concert.
Principal Jane McBride said that Hannah’s achievements acted as an inspiration to other students.
She said: “Hannah is obviously passionate for the piano and this should give her even more encouragement for the future.”
