PERMISSION is being sought for the floodlights at Nailsea Skate Park to be kept on until 10pm.
Users of the park have requested for the lights to be kept on later so that they can enjoy the park even more.
The application's supporting statement reads: "Users of Nailsea Skate Park have requested that the hours for floodlighting be extended to 10pm to allow for longer enjoyment of this asset.
"The Skate Park is directly adjacent to the Tesco Petrol Filling Station which has its bright lights on 24/7 and our four small floodlights are almost 'lost' therein. There are no neighbouring domestic premises to be affected by extending the hours of operation.
"We request that Condition 4 be amended to allow the Skate Park floodlights to remain on until 22.00 hours."
