Pupils at a school in Weston-super-Mare enjoyed an unforgettable experience of meeting rainforest animals.
Reception at Haywood Village Academy met a python, scorpion, and giant African land snail, amongst others, courtesy of a visit by Zoolab.
This renowned family-run business has been bringing the excitement of the rainforest and its exotic animals to children across the UK for over 20 years.
The children embraced the chance to hold each creature and demonstrated a keen interest in learning by asking thoughtful questions.
Haywood Village class teacher, Della Hall, praised the event and said: "We have been learning about the rainforest as part of our themed enquiry.
"The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting real animals from the rainforest to support their understanding about the world around them.
"We are looking forward to writing about our experience."
