UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
AN A-Road between Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare is currently partially closed after a crash involving two cars.
The A370 Weston Road, in East Brent, was closed in both directions after two-car collision around at 10:40am today (Thursday, May 16).
Police, fire, and ambulance services all attended the scene, at which one lane has now been reopened.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area as delays remain whilst the two damaged vehicles are recovered.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: The A370 Weston Road, East Brent is partially closed following a two-car collision around 10:40am on Thursday, May 16.
"Police, fire, and ambulance attended and thankfully there are no injuries.
"One lane reopened at 11:30am but traffic is slow - please avoid the area pending vehicle recovery."
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two appliances from Burnham-on-Sea and Dulverton were dispatched to a road traffic incident involving two vehicles on Brent Road in East Brent, Highbridge at 10.38am on 16 May.
"On arrival, one vehicle was on its side but all persons were free and clear, crews made both vehicles safe before leaving the scene in the hands of police."
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, have been contacted for further information on the incident.
