IN 2018, a royal wedding guest from Weston-super-Mare put a goody bag up for sale on eBay.
The gift bag was given to guests at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day in Windsor.
The canvas bag, featuring their initials, included a commemorative chocolate coin, a bottle of water, fridge magnet, shortbread biscuits and an order of service.
There was also a voucher to get 20 per cent off the shop at Windsor Castle.
The bags were given to the 1,500 community champions who were invited to watch the service outside St George’s Chapel.
The item was one of a number being sold on the online auction website.
Within a few hours of being posted, the price had risen from £350 to £8,050.
Speaking at the time, the seller said: “Buy a piece of history and memorabilia to celebrate a momentous special day for Britain and the royal family.”
