A BURNHAM-on-Sea baker who opened her first shop nearly eight weeks ago is adjusting the opening times of her Berrow Road store.

Eloise Baker, founder of Ellie Bakes, opened her new shop, Ellie's, on Thursday, March 28.

Posting on social media, Ellie said: "It’s has almost been eight weeks since opening and I want to firstly say thank you to everyone who’s been in and continues to support this little bakery cake shop.

"After lots of thoughts, and this will only affect very few lovely customers, I have decided to close on Mondays as well as a Tuesday. I hope you understand.

"However, I’m hoping this means I have the capacity to open longer on a Friday. So this Friday will be the first trial run of opening 7am-4pm. And if a success, will be the new Friday times."

So far, Ellie has been 'blown away' by the support of customers from Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea, and further afield.

She added: "I have been blown away by the support.

"From local residents to visitors as far as Taunton!"
