The Weston Civic Society will host its next meeting this month.
It is set to take place on June 10 at 7.30pm in the Museum on Burlington Street.
Local artist, Rosie Smith will be discussing the range, techniques, and influences behind her ceramic tile paintings that pay homage to various local landmarks and historical events.
The talk will also delve into her commissioned work for public and private buildings in Weston and Somerset.
Entrance will be £2, but members will be admitted free of charge.
Among other meetings, the society will also host a presentation by heritage champion John Crockford-Hawley on June 13.
Commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day, it will cover the memorable wartime years of 1939-1945 with illustrative big-screen presentations.
The Weston Civic Society will then go on summer break after these meetings, but will recommence from September.
It encourages members and the public to suggest potential topics for future meetings.
The society will then return on Monday, September 16 with the Big Day Out at the seaside along with the Seaside Heritage Network.
In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the society has also recently announced the funding of a water refill station in the Italian Gardens.
The new membership year of the Weston Civic Society has just commenced.
Those interested in joining or re-joining the society can do so for £10.
