A MAN has been arrested after a Pride flag was set on fire in Weston-super-Mare.
Avon and Somerset Police said a man in his twenties is in custody after the flag was destroyed.
The flag was removed from outside Grove House and set on fire overnight from Wednesday, June 12 to Thursday, June 13.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Officers arrested a man in his twenties of no fixed abode at just before midday today, Friday, June 14, on suspicion of criminal damage. He currently remains in the cells.
“We continue to appeal for information about this incident. If you can help please call 101 and give the reference 5224152470."
