A YOUNG Weston dancer is the first one to qualify as a soloist for the world cup.
12-year-old Zachary Horler-Erasmus is counting down the days until he takes to the stage on June 29 to join the Dance World Cup in Prague as part of team England.
Zachary is keen to showcase his talent in contemporary dance and fly the flag for boys who also love to express themselves through dance.
He said: “I cannot wait to compete at the Dance World Cup. Dance is the greatest gift it keeps you fit helps you build strength, and also have fun.”
Zachary has been dancing for three years and he is part of All-Stars dance company based in Weston-super-Mare which has been encouraging and nurturing dancers for seven years.
The principal Sally said she is immensely proud of Zachary for all of his hard work and cannot wait to see him compete this week at the dance world cup.
Zachary competed to gain a place coming fourth in England and will now compete against the world.
