TWO men have been found guilty of murdering a man in Weston-super-Mare last year.
Andrew Dymock, 33, of Queens Avenue, Portishead, and Robert White, 37, of no fixed address, attacked 43-year-old Dominic Wilson at a flat in Upper Church Road in the early hours of Monday, November 27.
At a hearing at Bristol Crown Court today (Friday, June 28), the jury heard Dymock and White stole the keys to the flat in a robbery earlier that night, alongside two other men.
CCTV footage shows the two men using these keys to access the flat where Dominic was staying, where they robbed and stabbed him before leaving the flat just 74 seconds later.
During the incident, Dominic was fatally stabbed in the leg.
Police officers were initially called by the victim of the earlier robbery and upon taking him back to his home, stumbled upon Dominic in a serious condition.
Despite their best efforts to save him by performing CPR, and the efforts of the ambulance service, Dominic was pronounced dead at 5.39am.
The subsequent police investigation led to the recovery of a knife from a nearby drain.
Dymock and White were later arrested and charged with robbery along with Kerry Miles, 39, of Dickenson Road, Weston-super-Mare, and Zachery Stone, 26, also of Dickenson Road.
All four pleaded guilty to the charges.
Dymock and White were also charged with murder, and found guilty at Bristol Crown Court.
They have been remanded into custody ahead of their sentencing on Thursday, July 4, when Miles and Stone will also be sentenced, for robbery.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Simon Dewfall said: “This was a callous and vicious attack and very sadly led to Dominic losing his life at far too young an age.
“Our thoughts remain fully with his family, who continue to be supported by a specialist family liaison officer, as they continue to process this awful incident.
“This has been a complex investigation and I’d like to thank everyone involved in making sure we were able to bring those responsible for Dominic’s death to justice.”
