EIGHT south west site managers have been recognised amongst the best in the UK.
All eight work for Bloor Homes’ south west region, based in Swindon, and are celebrating after receiving a Pride in Job 2024 Quality award from the NHBC, the UK’s largest provider of new home warranties and insurance.
Winners include Mel Brook at Brue Farm in Highbridge and Jason Lockyer at The Wick in Weston-super-Mare.
Now in its 44th year and widely considered the ‘Oscars’ of the house-building industry, Pride in the Job became the benchmark for exceptional site managers.
Judging is rigorous, with assessment across six key areas including leadership, health and safety and attention to detail.
Thousands of inspections, with meticulous scoring and detailed verifications have taken place to determine the 449 winners from a field of more than 8,000 sites, representing the top 5 per cent of UK site managers.
Celebrating their success, Jon Fletcher, managing director for the region, said: “Our congratulations to all eight site managers in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards. To have eight site managers recognised for quality across the South West region is testament to Bloor Homes aim of providing the very best for all our customers.
“We wish them all the best of luck in the next round of the competition.”
In a joint statement, Divisional Chairmen, Andrew Marns and Richard Oldroyd at Bloor Homes said: “Congratulations to all winners who have been recognised in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job awards.
“Consistently putting customers at the centre of everything they do sets the bar high for the entire site team and ensures the delivery of outstanding quality in our new homes and developments for our homeowners.
“We are proud of all 28 winners- thank you to NHBC for recognising their dedication and leadership.”
The Quality Award winners will now go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the autumn, with the national Supreme Award winners unveiled in January 2025.
